Last updated: 7 October 2026

This Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy explains how TRM Memberships, recurring payments, minimum commitments and cancellations operate.

TRM is operated by:

TRM TOOLS LTD

By purchasing a TRM Membership, you agree to this policy together with our Terms of Service & Membership Terms, Return & Refund Policy and other applicable policies.

1. TRM MEMBERSHIPS

TRM provides members with access to professional barbering equipment through a recurring monthly membership.

Current membership options are:

TRM ESSENTIAL — £44.99 per month
Access to 1 professional tool.

TRM PRO — £79.99 per month
Access to 2 professional tools.

TRM ELITE — £129.99 per month
Access to 2 professional tools + 1 foil shaver, together with applicable Elite membership benefits.

Current pricing and benefits will always be displayed before purchase.

2. ACCESS, NOT OWNERSHIP

A TRM Membership provides access to professional equipment rather than ownership of that equipment.

Your monthly membership payments do not purchase the tools and do not build ownership or equity in them.

Unless TRM expressly states otherwise in writing:

All equipment supplied through a TRM Membership remains the sole property of TRM TOOLS LTD at all times.

3. MONTHLY PAYMENTS

TRM Memberships are billed monthly using the payment method provided when you join.

Your first membership payment is taken when you join unless otherwise stated.

By joining, you authorise TRM and its payment providers to collect recurring membership payments when they become due.

4. SIX-MONTH MINIMUM COMMITMENT

All TRM Memberships have an initial minimum commitment of six monthly payments, subject to any statutory rights that apply to you.

By joining, you agree to make the payments required under this initial minimum term.

This is a minimum commitment — not a prepaid six-month purchase.

You will continue to be charged monthly.

5. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SIX MONTHS?

After completing your initial six-month minimum commitment, your membership does not automatically begin another six-month commitment.

Instead, it continues on a:

ROLLING MONTHLY BASIS

Your normal monthly payments continue until you choose to cancel.

6. 120-DAY TOOL CYCLES ARE SEPARATE

Your 120-day tool cycle is separate from your monthly membership billing cycle.

Your first 120-day cycle begins when your initial TRM equipment is delivered.

When eligible, you can choose to:

KEEP YOUR CURRENT SETUP

or

SWAP ELIGIBLE EQUIPMENT

Completing a tool swap does not:

  • cancel your membership;
  • restart your billing schedule;
  • create a new membership; or
  • automatically start another six-month minimum commitment.

Your membership simply continues.

7. CANCELLING DURING THE INITIAL MINIMUM TERM

TRM Memberships have an initial six-month minimum commitment.

If you request cancellation before completing your minimum commitment and no applicable statutory cancellation right or other legal right applies, you remain responsible for your obligations under the agreed minimum term.

Please contact TRM if exceptional circumstances affect your membership. Any discretionary arrangement offered by TRM does not create an obligation to offer the same arrangement in another case.

8. CANCELLING AFTER THE MINIMUM TERM

Once your initial six-month minimum commitment has been completed, you may cancel your rolling monthly membership using the cancellation method provided by TRM.

Cancellation prevents future membership renewals from the applicable cancellation date.

Cancelling your membership does not give you ownership of the TRM equipment in your possession.

9. STATUTORY CANCELLATION RIGHTS

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict any cancellation rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.

Where you have a statutory right to cancel, TRM will honour that right.

If TRM-owned equipment has already been dispatched or delivered when a membership is lawfully cancelled, you must follow the return instructions provided by TRM.

Your statutory rights are not affected by the six-month minimum commitment.

10. WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU CANCEL?

When your membership ends for any reason:

ALL TRM-OWNED EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED.

This includes, where applicable:

  • clippers;
  • trimmers;
  • foil shavers;
  • courtesy tools;
  • temporary replacement equipment; and
  • any other TRM-owned professional equipment in your possession.

Your Welcome Pack and Membership Card do not normally need to be returned unless TRM specifically requests otherwise.

11. RETURNING EQUIPMENT AFTER CANCELLATION

TRM will provide return instructions and, where applicable, prepaid tracked return postage.

Unless TRM confirms otherwise in writing, TRM-owned equipment must be handed to the specified return carrier within 5 calendar days of receiving the relevant return instructions or return materials.

You should retain proof of postage until TRM confirms receipt.

Your membership ending does not transfer ownership of the equipment to you.

12. FAILURE TO RETURN EQUIPMENT

TRM equipment remains the property of TRM TOOLS LTD after cancellation.

If equipment is not returned within the required timeframe, we will attempt to contact you and provide an opportunity to resolve the outstanding return.

Where equipment remains unreturned, TRM TOOLS LTD may take reasonable and lawful steps to recover:

  • the equipment;
  • amounts properly due; and/or
  • reasonable losses associated with the failure to return TRM property.

Where necessary, this may include appropriate debt-recovery or legal proceedings.

13. FAILED PAYMENTS

If a recurring membership payment fails, our payment provider may automatically retry the payment.

While an account has an unresolved failed payment, TRM may restrict certain membership benefits where permitted.

This may include temporarily preventing:

  • tool swaps;
  • new tool selections;
  • dispatch of additional equipment; or
  • access to certain non-essential membership benefits.

A failed payment does not automatically cancel your membership or give you ownership of TRM equipment.

Outstanding payments and equipment-return obligations must still be resolved.

14. PAUSING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

TRM does not currently offer voluntary membership pauses.

Your membership must therefore remain active throughout your agreed commitment unless it is cancelled or otherwise ended in accordance with these terms.

A temporary account restriction caused by a failed payment or account review is not considered a voluntary membership pause.

15. UPGRADING OR DOWNGRADING

Where available, you may request to upgrade or downgrade your TRM Membership.

Because different membership tiers provide access to different quantities or types of equipment, a membership change may require:

  • equipment to be returned;
  • additional equipment to be supplied;
  • completion of a Tool Condition Check; or
  • a change to your future monthly payment.

TRM will confirm the applicable process before the change takes effect.

A membership change will not automatically create a new six-month minimum commitment unless a new minimum term is clearly disclosed to you and expressly agreed before the change takes effect.

16. REFUNDS

Membership payments are generally non-refundable once properly due and the relevant membership period or service has been provided, except where:

  • you have a statutory right to a refund;
  • you have been charged incorrectly;
  • TRM agrees that a refund is appropriate; or
  • applicable law requires us to provide one.

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for further information.

17. CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP PRICING

TRM may change membership pricing from time to time.

Changes to pricing for new members may take effect when published.

Where a price change affects an existing member, TRM will provide any notice and obtain any agreement required by applicable law and the member’s contractual rights.

18. MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION BY TRM

TRM may suspend or terminate a membership where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including serious or repeated:

  • non-payment;
  • fraud;
  • misuse of the TRM service;
  • deliberate damage;
  • failure to return equipment;
  • unauthorised sale or transfer of TRM equipment; or
  • material breach of the Membership Terms.

Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Termination does not remove obligations that arose before termination, including returning TRM-owned equipment or resolving amounts properly due.

BEFORE YOU JOIN

By joining TRM, you acknowledge that:

TRM is a monthly membership service.

Your initial minimum commitment is six monthly payments, subject to your statutory rights.

After six months, your membership continues monthly until cancelled.

You are accessing TRM equipment — not purchasing it.

All membership equipment remains the property of TRM TOOLS LTD.

Your 120-day tool cycle is separate from your monthly billing cycle.

Swapping equipment does not restart your six-month commitment.

TRM does not currently offer voluntary membership pauses.

When your membership ends, all TRM-owned equipment must be returned.

TRIM. REPLACE. MAINTAIN.
